In today’s business world, the need for strong presentation skills is constant.

  • Do you need to make formal presentations at seminars or conferences?
  • Do you need to present information to international colleagues at meetings?
  • Do you need to make informal presentations to your team members where you need to get vital messages across?

These are just three examples of where powerful presentation skills can make all the difference. The lottery industry is changing fast and expectations are increasingly high.

Theme: Improving presentation skills in English

The seminar is an ideal opportunity not only to boost your practical English language skills in presenting important information, but also to meet your international lottery colleagues and have a lot of fun!

Training by Partners in Training (PinT)

You’ll be in the capable hands of experienced trainers from Partners in Training (PinT), who have worked with and trained over 500 participants from over 40 lotteries from all over the world since 1994.

Who should attend?

Members of the lottery industry that already know some English but would like to increase their confidence and develop their presentation skills in English, using relevant terminology specific to the lottery business. Even the most experienced presenters need to work at and develop these skills, especially if they need to present in English.

What will I be doing?

You'll be interacting in English, all day every day, on a one-to-one basis, in small teams or with the whole group. With growing confidence, you may even surprise yourself with how you can communicate in English. Prepare yourself for a memorable experience!

It's intensive but the week will fly by – we want you to learn a lot but have fun at the same time. Guest speakers from the industry will talk about their specialist areas and you'll be able to ask questions and discuss interesting issues with them, using the language learned on the course.

In the evening, we play some interesting, and sometimes competitive, games – all in English, of course. We will also visit beautiful, historic York which has recently been nominated ‘European Tourism City of the Year’.

When?

The seminar will start Monday, 18 June 2012 and finish Friday, 22 June 2012. Spend one week during the Euro 2012 Finals, enjoying the tournament and networking with international colleagues in a supportive environment!
