adesso’s workforce reaches 1,000

Dortmund, 5 June 2012 – IT service provider adesso keeps growing: IT consultant Monika Gillessen started working at the Cologne office on 1 June 2012, and she is employee no. 1,000 within the business group.

An IT consultant specialising in requirements engineering, communications expert Monika Gillessen received an extra-special welcome present when adesso invited her to Constance in southern Germany for a conference which included a long weekend stay on the shores of Lake Constance. A total of 25 new staff members joined the company’s different offices and units on 1 June 2012, bringing the total number of adesso group’s workforce to over one thousand.

Kristina Gerwert, Head of Human Resources Management at adesso AG, says: "We are delighted to have passed this threshold and see how our company keeps growing, in particular in our core fields of IT consulting and software development. This development shows that we have selected the right path for our personnel strategy and that our investment in staff training management is paying off, something which our excellent rating in this year’s Germany’s Best Employer competition also bears out. adesso’s workforce grew 16 percent in the 2010-2011 period. adesso hires qualified professionals and college graduates for all of its offices and units, with IT consultancy and software development representing the group’s main focus.
