Lausanne/London, 4 May 2018 -- For its nature esports is particularly vulnerable to match-fixing and we have witnessed a few cases over the last years. Given the rise of esports betting at a global level, the Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS) and the esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC), have stipulated an agreement with the objective of working together to identify and report any potential irregularities and suspicious betting patterns with regards to esports competitions.

This agreement formalises the informal partnership that has been in place for some time. Under the agreement, GLMS and the Commission will exchange information on suspicious betting to help safeguard the interests of British consumers.
Lausanne, 28 May 2018: The Global Lottery Monitoring System concluded today an agreement with the Lithuanian Gaming Control Authority. The cooperation arrangement will see the exchange of information concerning any suspicious betting identified that falls within the operational scope of the Lithuanian regulatory authority.
Lyon, 15 May 2018, The Tennis Integrity Unit (TIU) and the Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS) have signed today an MoU agreeing to work closely together to combat match-fixing in tennis, through the secure sharing of information on irregular betting patterns as well as the cooperation on education and prevention initiatives.

GLMS welcomes the U.S. Supreme Court decision regarding sports betting and recalls the importance of measures against manipulations of sport competitions and illegal betting
Lausanne, 30 May 2018, The U.S. Supreme court ruled on May 14 that states themselves should have the right to regulate and tax sports betting, and considered it unconstitutional for the federal government to ban them from doing so. The court’s decision came in the case of Christie vs. the National Collegiate Athletic Association, a challenge by New Jersey to the federal Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA), which banned all states outside of Nevada from offering single-event sports betting. Three other states -- Montana, Oregon and Delaware -- were allowed to offer limited forms of betting under PASPA.
KCOOS+ Project GLMS and Lotteries join forces with the Council of Europe and key stakeholders to keep crime out of sport
Strasbourg, 9 March 2018: The project Keep Crime out of Sport+ (KCOOS+) was officially launched today in Strasbourg. Following the success of the KCOOS project which sought to promote the Council of Europe Convention on the Manipulation of Sport Competitions and support states with the implementation of its provisions, the CoE together with key partners and stakeholders, including the INTERPOL, the Lotteries (GLMS-EL-WLA), Ethisport, RC3 and Partners and a number of states, including France, Switzerland, Norway, and Cyprus, launched today the follow-up project which will seek to go even deeper and further and have a world-wide impact.
