WCLC Board of Directors Names New President
WINNIPEG – Niaz Nejad, Chair of the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) Board of Directors, announced today that Paul Erickson has been appointed President and CEO of WCLC, effective immediately. Mr. Erickson has served as Interim President of the Corporation since June 2018.
Mr. Erickson began his career with WCLC in 1987; initially working in IT-related roles, he eventually moved to the audit department, where he became Manager in 1997. His role prior to his appointment as Interim President was as Director, Risk and Compliance, where his portfolio of responsibilities included IT Security, Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Player Protection.
He holds a number of professional designations, including Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
Mr. Erickson has also been active with Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC) sub-committees for many years, chairing both the Lottery Risk Assessment and Common Standards teams. He has been a member of the ILC Executive Committee since June 2018.
