From a financial and accounting standpoint, 2014 was a year of stability for Loterie Romande. At the year close, gross gaming revenues totalled CHF 388 million, a small increase on the previous year. Net profit, i.e. the sum disbursed for the public good, was stable, totalling CHF 209.9 million. These results meant that funds paid out to charitable, cultural, sporting and environmental projects were maintained at a high level. Against the backdrop of a gambling industry becoming ever more fiercely competitive, these results can, to a large extent, be explained by the frequency of big jackpots on draw-based lottery games which gave a boost to sales.
The transaction was coordinated by Société Générale and Alpha Bank UK, while the syndicate included Citigroup, Eurobank, National Bank of Greece and Piraeus Bank, which acted as Mandated Lead Arrangers.

Once a jackpot winner is drawn in a random raffle, a second round of winners is selected among players who live the closest to the original winner.
