English for Effective Communication in the Lottery Industry

A joint WLA/PinT training to improve your English language and lottery terminology for presentations, meetings, business correspondence, attending international conferences and cross-cultural communication.

Theme: Language for presentations, meetings, business writing, attending conferences & cross-cultural communication

An ideal opportunity to boost your practical use of English as well as improving your skills in such important topics as: presenting key information, participating at meetings, writing emails & reports, attending international conferences and interacting with people from lottery companies from all over the world.

Date: 18-22 June 2018 (Monday-Friday)

The workshop runs from Monday at 09.00 to Friday lunchtime. So we advise you to arrive on Sunday to be ready for action on Monday morning and leave Friday for your return home.

Partners in Training (PinT) has a global reputation for quality training and empathetic trainers. We have worked with over 500 participants from over 40 lotteries from all over the world ever since the first workshop in 1994.

Accommodation: The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, York

The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel is an ideal place to stay, offering excellent accommodation, food and leisure facilities. The nearest airport is Leeds-Bradford International (LBA). We can organise a taxi pick-up for you. Alternatively, you can fly to Manchester (MAN), Newcastle (NCL) or Heathrow (LHR) and travel to York by train.

Training Location: Peasholme House, York

Just round the corner from The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, this is a beautiful, historic building which has become the main Training Centre of Partners in Training (PinT).

Training & Learning:

  • Do you need to communicate in English as part of your work?
  • Do you present information to others in a lottery context?
  • Do you attend meetings held in English?
  • Are you expected to attend international conferences?
  • Do you have to write business correspondence in English?

The five-day workshop is intensive but the week is filled with learning opportunities and opportunities to practise English in a lottery-related context. Vocabulary is introduced and then re-cycled in realistic scenarios. There are daily opportunities to network with colleagues and, in the evenings, you can use your English in a relaxed atmosphere.

And, you get the chance to stay in the beautiful, historic city of York!

Cost: (a reduction from 2017!)

  • Course fees (in GBP): £ 1000.00 per participant, OR £ 1500.00 for 2 participants from the same lottery
  • Hotel + all meals: £ 675.00 per participant
