International cooperation is what distinguishes the WLA as a truly global association. Nowhere is this more apparent than it is with the five regional lottery associations of ALA (Africa), APLA (Asia Pacific), CIBELAE (Latin America), EL (Europe), and NASPL (North America). Our ties with the regional associations are built upon shared values and mutual interests that collectively lay the foundation for the services that we provide to our members. The WLA also maintains close ties with United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS), which was jointly founded by the WLA and the EL. Together, the WLA, EL, and ULIS cooperate to form a united front against match-fixing and to preserve the integrity of sports.

Regional Associations

The world lottery community is further supported by five regional lottery associations, which play a role at the continental and regional level similar to that played by the WLA globally. The five regional associations are ALA, APLA, CIBELAE, the EL, and NASPL, supporting Africa, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Europe, and North America respectively.

United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS) is an international association of state-regulated lotteries conceived to safeguard the integrity and core values of sports from corruption, specifically, from the manipulation of sports competitions.
